Medallion Hunt Contest Guidelines and Rules

SECTION 1 – CONTEST OVERVIEW

River Bend Business Products (“Sponsor”) located in Mankato, Minnesota is conducting the River Bend Business Products Medallion Hunt Contest (the “Contest”). This is a business-to-business (B2B) promotional contest exclusively for registered members of the Business Source Network (“BSN”).

Contest Format

Seven (7) medallions are hidden across the contest period. Each medallion submission form completed earns one (1) Contest entry.

Five (5) digital medallions are hidden on pages within riverbendbusiness.com

Two (2) Physical Medallions are hidden in our physical retail locations, one in the Mankato River Bend Express retail store and one at Kemske’s in New Ulm

Each medallion will link to a submission form where participants will enter the location of the medallions they find. Earn one Contest entry per medallion form submitted.

Bonus entries

Earn two (2) bonus entries for following River Bend Business Products on Facebook (facebook.com/riverbendbusiness) and one (1) bonus entry for following on Instagram (instagram.com/riverbendbusinesspr).

A total of ten (10) entries are available per individual representative with a limit of 60 entries per business entity.

Total prize pool value: $18,000

Earnings have no monetary or cash value and cannot, under any circumstances, be redeemed for cash, refunded, or exchanged for a monetary equivalent. Each business entity is eligible to win one (1) prize.

Prize winnings will be eligible for use on any River Bend Business Products services or products.

No purchase necessary to join Business Source Network, BSN membership is free.

Contest closes: July 7^th and winners are announced July 14^th via email. Winners must respond to the announcement email within seven (7) days accepting their offer. Winners must provide their W-9 form within 14 days of announcement email.

SECTION 2 – ELGIBILITY

The Contest is open exclusively to legitimate, active business entries (e.g., Corporations, LLCs, Partnerships, or Sole Proprietorships) that are registered and in good standing with their state of formation, maintain a valid Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) or State Tax ID, and are registered members of the River Bend Business Products Business Source Network. This Contest is strictly closed to the general public and individuals entering in their personal capacity. Employees, officers, and directors of River Bend Business Products are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by law.

Additional eligibility requirements:

Business must be located in Minnesota or the surrounding region (as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion)

One (1) Business Source Network membership per business entity.

BSN membership is free – no purchase necessary to register

EIN or State Tax ID is a characteristic of the eligible business but is NOT required at registration – see section 7 for W-9 requirements applicable to Contest winners only.

Up to six (6) authorized representatives per business entity may submit entries on behalf of their company

Maximum of ten (10) entries per representative with a limit of 60 entries per business entity.

Each business entity is eligible for one (1) prize. In the event of a business entity being drawn for additional prizes, their name is discarded and another name is drawn until a new winner is selected.

Void where prohibited by law.

Prize earnings are to be spent on products and services priced at market suggested retail price from River Bend Business Products as determined by the Sponsor.

SECTION 3 – HOW TO ENTER

Step 1 – Complete the full Business Source Network membership profile, including business type, authorized representative name and title, corporate email address, and purchasing profile by product and service category. BSN membership is free. Completing this step makes the business eligible to enter and win. No EIN number is required at this time.

Step 2 – Locate the hidden medallions on riverbendbusiness.com, shop.riverbendbusiness.com and/or at River Bend Express or Kemske’s retail store locations. Each medallion will be linked to a submission page via a Jotform. Each submission adds entries to the business entity’s total entries.

The submission form for each medallion will be linked to the image, where entrants will need to click to follow the link to the submission page. Once the submission page is completed and submitted, the entry will be recorded for the authorized representative and business entity.

SECTION 4 – AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE AND PRIZE OWNERSHIP

Entries must be submitted by an authorized representative of the eligible business entity. By participating, the individual warrants that they have the explicit authority to enter the Contest on behalf of the business. In the event of a dispute over the identity of the entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized holder of the corporate email account associated with the BSN registration. Any prize awarded will be issued solely in the legal name of the business entity, not to the individual representative.

A business entity may designate up to six (6) authorized representatives to submit entries on its behalf.

Authorized representatives must use the corporate mail address on file with the BSN membership registration.

Entries submitted by unauthorized individuals will be void.

If an authorized representative leaves the winning business before prize fulfillment, the prize remains exclusive property of the business entity, not the individual.

River Bend Business Products reserves the right to verify the authorization status of any entrant at any time.

SECTION 5 – PRIZE STRUCTURE AND REDEMPTION TERMS

The total prize pool of $18,000 is divided into the following prizes

Grand prize: $5,000 to one (1) winner.

2^nd prize: $3,000 to one (1) winner.

Additional Prizes: $1,000 to five (5) winners. $500 to ten (10) winners.

How All Prizes May Be Used

All 17 prizes are redeemable toward any new River Bend Business Products product or services. Prize earnings cannot be used to pay existing account balances, outstanding invoices or amount already owed to River Bend Business Products. Any attempt to apply prize credit to an existing balance will be declined.

Prize credits must be redeemed within 60 days of the prize award date. Credits not redeemed within 60 days are forfeited with no cash or alternative value provided.

River Bend Business Products will notify each winner of their prize earnings and of the 60-day redemption deadline, by email to the corporate email address associated with the BSN membership.

All prizes are awarded to the winning business entity in the legal business name registered with BSN and not to individual employees or representatives.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. River Bend Business Products reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value at its sole discretion.

Prize earnings are to be used to purchase their choice of River Bend Business Products products or service(s) up to the stated value based on the market suggested retail price. Any remaining balance of prize earnings not used after 60 days are forfeited, not refunded as cash. Prize credits apply exclusively to River Bend Business Products products and services and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to any third party.

SECTION 6 – MEDALLION HUNT STRUCTURE

Under Minnesota statue 609.75 the Contest is considered an in-package chance promotion and not a lottery by meeting the criteria detailed in the statute including but not limited to: no purchase necessary to participate in the Contest, related advertising clearly states any method of participation and termination of Contest, and all prizes are awarded randomly. The Contest contains a skill element which requires participants active searching and navigation of riverbendbusiness.com and shop.riverbendbusiness.com introducing an effort element beyond chance. Winners are determined by a random drawing of eligible entries considered a sweepstakes-style selection. The Contest is considered a lawful structure under Minnesota law by requiring skill/effort which reduces pure chance and eliminating consideration with a random drawing of eligible participants.

The Contest meets requirements under statue 325F.755 and the Minnesota Deceptive Trade Practices act by including the following:

The official rules describe where medallions are hidden in general terms including amount of medallions and broadly where they will be found.

Contest rules provide clear instructions on how to submit contest entries, including medallion submission process.

The Contest is open entry therefore a fixed-ratio statement is not required as it is unknown at the time of publication.

Rules and promotional materials of the Contest do not create a false impression a participant is guaranteed to win. The retail value of each prize is stated clearly in the Contest rules. Entry to the Contest and winning of prizes is available without purchase requirement.

SECTION 7 – TAX REPORTING AND W-9 REQUIREMENT

Businesses are not required to provide their EIN or State Tax ID at registration or during the Contest entry process. Any business selected as a winner must provide a completed W-9 form listing the legal business name end EIN number before any prize will be awarded. All prize values constitute taxable business income. Winners must submit their W-9 form within 14 days of winner notification. Failure to provide a valid W-9 within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the prize and the selection of an alternate winner from the entry pool.

River Bend Business Products will issue IRS form 1099-MISC to each winning business entity for the applicable prize value. The 1099-MISC will be issued in the legal name of the winning business entity as registered with BSN. Winners are solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes applicable to prize value. River Bend Business Products is not responsible for any tax liability incurred by the winning business entity.

SECTION 8 – DRAWING AND WINNER SELECTION

The Contest submissions will open on June 16^th  close on July 7^th,and winners will be selected at random from eligible entries received during the Contest period. 17 winners will be selected and notified via email on July 14^th. The decision regarding winner selection by River Bend Business Products is final and binding. Winners must respond within seven (7) days via email accepting prize winnings or an alternate winner may be selected from eligible entries.

Each business entity is eligible for one (1) prize. In the event of a business entity being randomly selected more than once, another random selection will be made until 17 unique business entities are selected for the prize earnings. The odds of a business entity being selected to win a prize are dependent on the total number of entries received.

SECTION 9 – DISPUTE RESOLUTION

All disputed regarding entry eligibility, prize ownership or any other Contest matter will be resolved by River Bend Business Products in its sole and absolute discretion.

Prize earnings are the exclusive property of the business entity. Any attempt by an individual to claim a prize in their personal name instead of the registered business entity will result in immediate disqualification. The Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. By participating, entrants waive any right to claim ambiguity in the official Contest rules.

River Bend Business Products reserves the right to cancel, modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest at any time, for any reason, without proper notice.

Entries generated by automated, scripted, or other technical means are void. Entries that are incomplete, ineligible, or otherwise non-compliant with these official rules will be disqualified. By entering, business entities and their authorized representatives agree to be bound by these official contest rules. If any provision of the Official Rules is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall be severable from the remaining provisions. This promotion is subject to all applicable deferral, state, and local laws and regulations. These Official Rules constitute the entire agreement between the business entity and River Bend Business Products with respect to the Contest.
